Once upon a time there was a prince who had in his heart the purpose of becoming a cook. While his wife spent her idle days enjoying the boon resting on her silk pillow, he used to stand in a corner of the veranda and nervously stare at the length of the chimney as if to understand how much smoke it could contain and release while he was cooking his dishes rich in every aroma and delicacy.

C’era una volta un principe che aveva nel cuore il proposito di diventare cuoco. Mentre la moglie passava le sue oziose giornate a godersi la pacchia poggiata sul suo cuscino di seta, egli soleva starsene in un angolo della veranda e con fare nervoso fissava la lunghezza della canna fumaria come per capire quanto fumo potesse contenere e liberare mentre cuoceva le sue pietanze ricche di ogni aroma e prelibatezze.
